As of Saturday, half of Nevada County’s 75,575 registered voters had already returned their ballots for tomorrow’s recall election, according to the Elections Office. Approximately 37,000 ballots were received and 500 people had voted in person at one of the four Vote Centers.

Drop box locations are conveniently located throughout the county and are available starting no later than 28 days prior to the election. Emergency Responders Who Can’t Make It Home To Vote
If you are an emergency worker responding to wildfires in Alpine, Amador, Butte, El Dorado, Lassen, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity Counties and you can’t make it home in time to vote, election officials in affected counties must provide you with a provisional ballot and forward that ballot to your home county within 10 days. As long as you cast your ballot by close of polls on Election Day (September 14 at 8 p.m.), we will get your ballot to your county within the statutory time allotted and it will be counted.
