The Nevada Joint Union High School District (NJUHSD) Board of Trustees did not take a vote on a resolution proposed by Board President Pat Seeley that culminated in “all masking, testing, and vaccination mandates to terminate at that time, with a return to normal activities on April 1, 2022 consistent with local conditions.”

Adapted from two resolutions adopted by other school districts, the draft resolution called on the Governor to rescind the mandatory COVID vaccination for students and staff. The draft resolution made no mention of the other required immunizations:

  1. Measles, mumps, and rubella
  2. Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough)
  3. Poliomyelitis (polio)
  4. Hepatitis B
  5. Varicella (chickenpox)
  6. Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib meningitis)
  7. Any other disease deemed appropriate by CDPH

A revised resolution will be presented to the board at their next meeting on February 9th.
