The National Weather Service in Sacramento has released the smoke forecast for tonight and Saturday. This is an experimental smoke forecast model. North winds aloft will push smoke back again from the 434,813-acre Dixie Fire towards the east side, the Sacramento Valley and Foothills.
Adding to the mix will be the 36,015-acre Monument Fire, the 27,148-acre McFarland Fire, the 38,601-acre Antelope Fire, the 20,810-acre Klamath River Complex and several other, smaller fires to the north.
Health advisories for smoke have been issued by Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District and Placer County Air Pollution Control District.
