Smoke from large fires throughout Northern California will continue to impact large portions of the state through Friday at least. A change in wind direction to more northeasterly winds, will affect air quality throughout the region.

Critical fire weather conditions are expected through tonight due to breezy winds, dry fuels, and low humidity. including a wind advisory for the northern Sacramento Valley.

Air quality advisories remain in effect for Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra and Lassen counties.
