Penn Valley, Calif. November 3, 2017 – Three-term Nevada County Supervisor Hank Weston has endorsed small business owner, rancher and long-time resident Sue Hoek. Hank has served honorably on the Nevada County Board of Supervisor, with 2018 marking his 12th and final year on the Board.

Supervisor Weston was quoted as saying, “Susan is a trusted friend and a long-time advocate for: public safety, our rural district and quality of life. She is not a politician, and her background as a rancher will give her first-hand knowledge of how to protect our watersheds. She has one of the best work ethics I have ever encountered and will continue to bring excellence to every group and organization she is apart of. Sue is the very definition of Nevada County, and I am honored to support her. She will always put Nevada County first!”

Sue is following in the footsteps of her grandfather and great grandfather who were both Supervisors in the rural 4th District. Sue has served on and as President of: the Nevada County Farm Bureau, on the Nevada County Agricultural Advisory Commission, and the Nevada County Resource Conservation District. She is also a member of the Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce, multiple Cattlemen’s Associations and is a member at the Twin Cities Church.
