Truckee, Calif. (November 19, 2020) – The Truckee Donner Public Utility District’s (TDPUD’s) Board of Directors made the exceedingly difficult decision to release general manger Rem Scherzinger. The Board announced a unanimous decision for a without cause termination of employment based on there not being a good fit. The decision was reported at a TDPUD Board meeting on Wednesday, November 18th.
Mr. Scherzinger was appointed to the general manager position starting in July and the TDPUD Board has appointed assistant general manager and water utility director, Brian Wright as interim general manager. As the TDPUD continues to navigate through this transition, we will continue to move forward with an exciting and robust community outreach to facilitate participation and input with development of a 3-5 year strategic plan.
