Last night’s rain washed the dust off the leaves, but that’s about all. Fire season is still ongoing, with a Red Flag Warning starting at 11 am today. The Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11 am this morning through 8 pm tonight for portions of the Sacramento Valley, Northern San Joaquin Valley, and Delta.

CAL FIRE suspended all burn permits for outdoor residential burning within the State Responsibility Area of Nevada, Yuba, and Placer Counties on May 24th and the suspension is still in effect.

Firefighters are still assigned to nine large fires throughout the state, with eight of them over 100,000 acres.
