NEVADA CITY, Calif. October 26, 2018 – Here’s a very useful tip from Wildland Rehabilitation and Release (WRR) if you are decorating your home for Halloween.
Please don’t use the sticky fake spiderweb stuff outside to keep the outdoors safer for Western Screech Owls and other small night flying creatures. WRR had an owl caught in this stuff a while back, and were able to save it. The owl could not disentangle itself.
The worst place to put this decoration is by a porch light, as the owls and bats will be attracted to the bugs that come to the lights.
