GRASS VALLEY, Calif. February 8, 2024 – On February 9th from 2-5 pm, the South Yuba Club in Grass Valley is set to host a transformative event – “Community Fitness Day”, sponsored by Gold Country Kiwanis.
The aim of Community Fitness Day is to promote health and well-being within the community, offering a unique opportunity for residents to engage in various activities that contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
This collaborative effort is free to the public and benefits the “Back to School” program providing new school clothes and supplies for underprivileged children in our community with additional support from JCPenney.
Highlights include:
∙ Dr. Joel Richnak, MD, of Mountain View Rehabilitation Medical Associates and Consulting Physiatrist for Sierra Memorial Hospital will speak on OrthoBiologics, a revolutionary nonsurgical approach to healing joint pain.
∙ Participants can witness or actively partake in a variety of demonstrations such as Yoga, Senior Fitness, Indoor Cycling and Chi Gong with Homer Nottingham. Taiko Drummers will perform.
∙ Fundraiser. The merchants of Grass Valley will provide gift certificates for a Kiwanis Raffle with proceeds benefiting the “Back to School” program providing new school clothes and supplies for underprivileged children in our community with additional support from JCPenney.
∙ The Gold Country Kiwanis will provide free food and drinks.
