Nevada Union High School’s Theatrical Dance Department proudly presents Spring Dance Concert: Greatest Hits – a tribute to hit songs throughout the decades – on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th at 7:00pm at the Don Baggett Theater, 11761 Ridge Road, Grass Valley.

Twelve professional choreographers created original dances for this production, selecting a variety of dance styles and songs including “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire, “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John, “When Doves Cry” by Prince, “Vienna” by Billy Joel, “RESPECT” by Aretha Franklin, “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles, and several more hit songs.

The dancers have spent hundreds of hours in after-school and weekend rehearsals, training in a variety of dance styles such as hip hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, and musical theater. Over 125 performers, from beginner to advanced level students, have chosen to participate in this year’s Spring Dance Concert. Audience members of all ages will enjoy the beauty of contemporary and commercial dance on display. The performance is a little over two hours in length, including one fifteen minute intermission.
