David Diamond has served on the Truckee Tahoe Airport Board since 2020. He consistently works to make sure the airport benefits the entire community. Most recently, he secured $2 million for fire mitigation through the Tahoe Truckee region. Mitigation projects that were previously unfunded are now underway, under the direction of the region’s four fire districts and CalFire.
In addition to his airport district work, David served as co-chair for Truckee Fire protection District’s Measure T (fire prevention), and he was integral to the success of Truckee’s Measure U (trails finding). He flies animal rescue missions and is a published author.
David founded AirDiamond Creative Consulting to help Tahoe Truckee businesses, government agencies and political campaigns better serve their communities. Before that, he directed global marketing teams for two decades. He also created the CoffeeTalk.app program, which enables community members to meet for casual conversations with their government officials.
He is a founder and current member of the 80s band BERLIN (Take My Breath Away/Top Gun), with whom he continues to record and tour today.
This year, David celebrates his 10th year as a full-time Truckee resident.
