It has been my honor to serve Nevada County families as a parent, teacher and administrator for the past 35+ years. I aspire to serve my community in a new way by offering my experience as an educational leader to help guide the Grass Valley School District as a member of the Board of Trustees.
After graduating from Nevada Union and Chico State, I have served many roles as a local educator: from teacher at area schools, including Bell Hill, to principal and district administrator with Nevada Joint Union High and Nevada City School Districts. A career highlight was opening Ghidotti Early College High School.
My goals will be to 1) Ensure that all students are treated with respect and provided with the tools needed to be contributing members of society; 2) Ensure staff have what they need to support our students in their endeavors, academic, artistic and athletic; 3) Promote opportunities for families to play a significant role in their children’s education.
My experiences as an educator have led me to understand the important role the Board plays in fostering a strong, vibrant educational community. I humbly ask for your vote; Strong schools = strong communities.
