The fire is in mop-up stage. Most resources have been released. There will be firefighters and law enforcement on the incident overnight.

Firefighters continue to methodically overhaul the structure and mop-up. A lot of firehose has been deployed and some of the dozer line cut will need to be rehabilitated. Per GVPD, only a small portion of the warehouse inventory was removed before the fire made access to the building impossible. The remaining inventory will be secured, law enforcement will remain at scene.
Nevada IC is releasing some engines back to their stations.

Firefighters have knockdown on the warehouse fire. All firefighters are accounted for. The overhaul operations will take at least 2-3 hours, then extensive mop-up operations due to the fuel load (contents of the warehouse, motor oils etc)

Nevada Air Attack is releasing the tanker from the hold at the Grass Valley Air Attack base and releasing the helicopter back to Auburn.

According to Grass Valley Police, no injuries have been reported. The Sierra Motor Sports building is a total loss.
GVPD update: The suspect initially detained has been arrested. She is identified as Elizabeth Huston, of Nevada County. Huston is being booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on charges of arson involving an inhabited structure.

CLEAR TO REPOPULATEโThis is the Grass Valley Police Department. The evacuation order for zones GRS-E242, GRS-E246, GRS-E271, AND NCO-E251 has been lifted. It is now safe to return home. Nevada City Hwy from Gates Pl. to Banner Lava Cap will remain closed to residents.
Grass Valley police officers have arrested at least one white female adult associated with this incident. Details surrounding how the fire started are still being investigated.

Firefighters are focusing on the warehouse fire, they’ll open one of the walls to gain access. You will see a large increase in smoke once that happens. It does not mean that fire activity has increased. The wildland portion of the fire has been contained.
