Linda, CA – Yuba County’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) is hosting its 3rd annual Be Prepared Fair to equip residents with essential emergency resources ahead of the upcoming storm and flood season.

The free preparedness event is slated for Thursday, Oct. 10 from 3:30-7 p.m. at 1000 Lindhurst Avenue in Linda, California (east end of FoodMaxx parking lot, directly across from Linda Fire Station).
With over 25 local and state agencies participating, visitors will have the opportunity to chat with public safety experts and gain valuable insights to protect themselves and their loved ones.
There will also be a go-bag creation station complete with complimentary starter items such as a mini flashlight, portable battery, and more!

- Get an up-close look at emergency vehicles, including the REACH helicopter.
- Enjoy a tasty bite from any of the six participating food trucks.
- Collect free swag and preparedness items.
- Sign up for CodeRED emergency alerts and find your evacuation zoned.
“We started the Be Prepared Fair back in 2021 to offer residents a casual, fun environment where they could speak directly to the individuals responsible for their community’s safety,” said Yuba County Emergency Planner Sara Baggett. “There are invaluable resources at these events, so I highly encourage folks to bring their families and join us!”
