Nevada City, CA – The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is thrilled to invite the community to the 20th edition of Foundry Sings on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the singing begins at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door, with a beer and wine bar available.
A New Format for Foundry Sings
To mark this milestone, Foundry Sings is exploring a new format, flowing through multiple iconic songs rather than focusing on just one. Whether you know them or not, the goal is to sing, harmonize, and celebrate music together.
This special night will feature timeless classics including “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” “Across the Universe,” and “We Shall Overcome.” With songs from Bob Dylan, The Beatles, John Lennon, and more, this session will honor decades of music that have shaped generations.
Since its first gathering on April 9, 2018, featuring Teach Your Children, Foundry Sings has brought people together through song. Past sessions have included favorites like Country Roads, Rocket Man, Lean on Me, and Viva la Vida. Led by choral director Rod Baggett, with accompaniment from Jonathan Meredith on guitar, this event continues to offer a welcoming space for singers of all levels.

During the pandemic, group singing was put on hold, but once it was safe to gather again, Foundry Sings returned stronger than ever, welcoming additional musicians like Heather Grove, Robbie Merchant, Tim Yamauchi, and Tristan Berlund.
