About the Presenters
Maralee Nelder has been the Family Law Facilitator, Director of the Self-Help Center, and Small Claims Advisor for the Superior Court of California, County of Nevada, since October 2020. She was in private practice in family law in Grass Valley from July 1982 until the day before she started work at the Court. She has been a Certified Specialist in Family Law, (California State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization), since July, 1987. A long-term fascination in family law has led to various teaching, presenting, and publication credits that would make this blurb too long. In her free time, she likes to knit incessantly.
Greg Klein began his legal career as a public defender in Riverside County and then Placer County, where he gained invaluable courtroom experience and a deep understanding of the justice system. In 2010, he opened his practice in Nevada City, where he continues to advocate for his clients in criminal matters. In a field where trust is everything and people reach out for guidance during some of the most challenging moments in their lives, integrity and compassion are the foundation of his work. His practice also includes family law. Outside the courtroom, whether it’s skiing the slopes in the winter or kayaking our rivers the rest of the year, Greg has no plans on slowing down. He enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, hanging out with the family dogs, and embracing the balance of life.
