Nevada City — Residents 62 years old or older, or those who qualify for PG&E’s California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program are eligible for a WM (Waste Management) discount.
Approximately 3,600 residents have already taken advantage of this reduced rate. The discount program is only available for the 35-gallon cart service size. Trash service can be converted to 35-gallon by calling (530) 615-2020 or applying for the discount.
Residents are encouraged to share this message with others who might qualify for this program. To apply for the senior or low-income discount, visit www.NevadaCountyCa.gov/foodwaste.
