GRASS VALLEY, CA – BriarPatch Food Co-op is partnering with Bright Futures for Youth (BFFY) to host a blood drive on Thursday, July 24th from 9 am to 12 pm in the BFFY parking lot at 200 Litton Drive in Grass Valley. Look for Vitalant’s Bloodmobile!

With nearly 30,000 units of red blood cells needed DAILY in the United States, BriarPatch recognizes the importance of these blood drives. Just one donation can help save multiple lives. It is safe and easy! As a thank you for helping save lives, participants will receive a $5 BriarPatch Food Co-op coupon. Plus, PatchWorks Volunteers can earn 3 volunteer hours by donating at this Blood Drive. Email community@briarpatch.coop after making an appointment to confirm.

To Get Involved

Donors must be at least 16 years of age (accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 18) and weigh at least 110 pounds. The donation process takes under an hour. If you would like to donate but aren’t sure if you’re eligible, contact Vitalant at 877-25-VITAL.

Bright Futures for Youth is one of the non-profits participating in BriarPatch’s Patchworks volunteer program, which rewards shoppers for volunteering with specific organizations. BFFY provides support, education and other vital services to youth between sixth grade and mid-twenties in Nevada County. They currently serve one out of 12 youth in the County. BriarPatch is proud to partner with Bright Futures for Youth.
