On Friday afternoon, Brush-57 with four Peardale Chicago Park Fire personnel were deployed to the Green Fire in Shasta County as part of Strike Team XPL 4127C with a Roseville Fire Dept Strike Team Leader. Also part of the Strike Team are Grass Valley Fire, Higgins Fire, North San Juan Fire and Roseville Fire.
Grass Valley Fire sent Brush-5 with four firefighters and a Battalion Chief who is assigned as a Branch Director on the 11,643-acre fire.


Peardale Chicago Park Fire also sent Captain Josh Ramey as Strike Team Trainee paired up with Strike Team Leader Clayton Thomas with Penn Valley Fire. Thomas and Ramey are leading Strike Team 4109 Charlie with engines out of San Joaquin County. All local fire stations remain fully staffed.
The Green Fire near Shasta Lake started on July 1, caused by abundant lightning in the area. As of this morning, 1,402 firefighters are assigned to the incident.
