Air Attack 17 is releasing tankers 88 and 89 back to Grass Valley. The helicopters will continue to work with the ground crews. There is a hoseline around the fire.

The majority of the smoke coming off the fire is from the head of the fire, helicopters will focus on that. IC requesting a drink module and a hosemodule to the Chicago Powerhouse Rd for the ground resources.

USFS Helicopter 510 is unloading their crew and then will start bucket work. The crew will start cutting line. Fire is holding within the retardant line at approx. 3/4 of an acre. Ground resources have hiked in and are making access now.

Tankers 88 and 89 will drop across the head again. Helicopter 2HP is returning to Auburn with instrument issues. Routing instructions are Secret Town to the diggins for ground resources. Access is very difficult for engines.
