The Critical Importance of Night Training
Wildfires pose a threat regardless of the time of day, making the ability of CAL FIRE helicopter crews to respond effectively in low-light conditions paramount.
- Real-World Readiness: Night training allows pilots and crew members to practice and refine procedures in conditions that accurately simulate real-world emergency scenarios.
- Safety Assurance: Regular and rigorous training exercises are necessary to ensure the safety of both the flight crews and the communities they serve.
CAL FIRE appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the community as they conduct this essential training to maintain public safety.
