Grass Valley, CA — The Nevada Union High School Band invites the community to step back into the vibrant sounds of the 1940s with Spring Swing, an evening of live music and swing dancing on Saturday, April 25 at 5:00 p.m. The event will be held in the Nevada Union High School Multipurpose Room, located at 11761 Ridge Road, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
Guests will enjoy an engaging night featuring live jazz performed by the Nevada Union High School Band, paired with a swing dance lesson led by Lucy Galbraith of Salsa Sierra Dance Studio. The event is designed for all experience levels, making it a welcoming and fun experience for both seasoned dancers and beginners alike.
“We look forward to hosting this event again. Last year’s attendees had a great time!” said David Fowler, Nevada Union Band Director.
The evening’s program will include:
- 5:00 p.m. – Doors Open
- 5:30 p.m. – Dance Lesson Begins
- 6:00 p.m. – Live Jazz Performance
- 7:30 p.m. – Silent Auction
- 8:00 p.m. – Event Concludes
The band’s performance will highlight music from the iconic Swing Era of the 1940s, bringing timeless classics to life. The event runs approximately three hours and also features a silent auction, offering additional opportunities for community engagement and support. Appetizers will be served.
