The League of Women Voters of Nevada County invites the community to attend its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 5 p.m., at the Madelyn Helling Library. The event will feature guest speaker Dr. Mindy Romero, founder and director of the Center for Inclusive Democracy.
Dr. Romero is a nationally recognized political sociologist and expert on civic engagement, political behavior, and voter participation. Her work focuses on strengthening inclusive democracy and expanding civic participation among historically underrepresented communities.
The annual meeting will also include League business, election of Board members, and discussion of priorities for the coming year. The event is open to League members and the public.
