Grass Valley, CA (5/21/26) — Seniors in the community are invited to participate in “Strong & Steady,” a free five-week balance and falls prevention course designed to help older adults improve strength, confidence, and mobility while reducing the risk of falls.

Strong and steady class

The course will be held on Tuesdays from June 9th through July 7th at Eskaton Village in Grass Valley. Participants may choose between two class times: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Led by certified balance coaches, the program will cover a variety of topics including attitudes about falling, ways to stay active, fall prevention strategies, exercises to improve balance, and techniques for reframing concerns and fears surrounding falls.

Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults, and programs like Strong & Steady are designed to empower seniors with practical tools and education to maintain independence and improve overall quality of life.
