Nevada City Calif. – Two Nevada County vote centers open Saturday, May 23 and will be open daily through Election Day, June 2 for the Statewide Direct Primary Election.

The vote center locations:

  • Providence Mine Room, Nevada County Government Center, 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City
  • Truckee Tahoe Airport Community Room, 10356 Truckee Airport Road, Truckee Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through June 1 and 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Election Day June 2.

At a vote center, voters can register to vote, vote in person, drop off a completed ballot, get a replacement ballot, use accessible voting equipment, and receive language assistance.

Voters may also return their vote-by-mail ballots by mail or at an official ballot drop box.

Those who choose to return their ballots by mail are encouraged to do so by Friday, May 29 or go inside the post office and get their envelope hand-stamped. Only ballots postmarked by June 2 will be counted. Recent clarification from the U.S. Postal Service explains that most mail now receives a machine-applied postmark when it is processed at a regional facility; not when it is dropped into a local mailbox. As a result, mail sent close to a deadline may not be postmarked on time.
