GRASS VALLEY & AUBURN, CA – This National Hot Dog Day, BriarPatch Food Co-op is inviting shoppers to do something good while they fire up the grill.
On Wednesday, July 15, every package of hot dogs and sausages (meatless options included!) purchased at either BriarPatch location will equal one pound of dog food donated to a local animal welfare organization. Purchases made at the Grass Valley store will benefit Sammie’s Friends, while purchases at the Auburn store will support Placer SPCA.
The one-day promotion offers a simple recipe for giving back: buy dogs, feed dogs. Every purchase helps provide much-needed food for shelter pets waiting for their fur-ever homes.
“We’re always looking for fun, meaningful ways to support our community, and this promotion does exactly that,” said Katee Crimmel, Community Engagement Coordinator at BriarPatch Food Co-op. “National Hot Dog Day is the perfect excuse to enjoy a summer favorite while helping ensure local shelter pets have full bowls and plenty of reasons to wag their tails.”
