GRASS VALLEY, Calif. โ Nevada County Habitat for Humanity will celebrate 30 years of building affordable homes in the community at its annual Street of Dreams gala on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Hall in Grass Valley.
This year’s event, themed “Habitat: The Blueprint for Lasting Change,” is the organization’s premier fundraiser of the year, with proceeds going directly toward the purchase of building materials for current and upcoming home-building projects. Guests will enjoy an evening of dinner, cocktails, and both live and silent auctions in support of local families working toward affordable homeownership.
Since 1996, Nevada County Habitat for Humanity has partnered with local families to build decent, affordable homes through a self-help homeownership program, giving low-income residents an opportunity to own a home in Nevada County that might otherwise be out of reach. This year’s Street of Dreams marks a significant milestone: 30 years of that mission at work in the community.
โWeโve built new homes and provided affordable mortgages for almost 50 Nevada County families. We honor the middle class through our annual event and raise funds for the next generation of working homeowners. Join us for fun, tasty dinner from Antonio, and an inside view on what we do and how we do it.โ
