175 is a two-part exhibition featuring over 30 local artists celebrating the 175th anniversary of the formation of the County of Nevada. Alongside 2D and 3D art in a variety of mediums, 175 presents key dates, historic achievements, notable events, influential individuals, and local tribal history. For the historical aspect of the exhibition Nevada County Arts & Culture partnered with the Nevada County Historical Society and HUแน WEJ (formerly CHIRP).

Artwork submissions were received through an open call for art. Artists were asked to reflect on the following promptsโ€“What does it mean to be a Nevada County resident? What makes Nevada County unique? and The stories, people, places, events, nature, and history that shape our identity. From 188 submissions, 33 artworks were selected to be displayed alongside tribal member artworks from HUแน WEJโ€™s Visibility Through Art collection.
