ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Placer County Transit is changing two West Placer bus routes to give riders convenient connections to the City of Rosevilleโs new Rapid Link express transit service, launching Thursday, Oct. 1.
To facilitate this transition, Placer County Transit will adjust Route 20 and Route 70, which previously connected at Twelve Bridges, with a new connection point at the Lincoln park-and-ride facility that will serve as a hub for Rapid Link and other regional transit services.
Route 20 will terminate at the Lincoln park-and-ride lot, starting Thursday, Oct.1. There are no changes to route times, but this route will no longer service Twelve Bridges. Route 70 will start serving the Lincoln park-and-ride lot starting Thursday, Oct. 1.
Stop times have changed to accommodate the new transfer point. On weekdays and Saturdays, Route 70 service will begin five minutes earlier for stops at 3rd Street and F Street (35 minutes after the hour) and Ferrari Ranch Road after Lincoln Boulevard (38 minutes after the hour). Route 70 buses will arrive at the Twelve Bridges stop in the afternoon (50 minutes after the hour) and at the new park-and-ride on the hour.
New Lincoln park-and-ride
The new park-and-ride is located on Industrial Avenue north of Twelve Bridges Drive and just south of Highway 65.
This new stop allows passengers to easily connect with Roseville Transitโs new express transit service. Passengers will also be able to connect with Yuba-Sutter Transit, which is scheduled to begin providing new service from Lincoln to Marysville starting Monday, Oct. 12.
Rosevilleโs Rapid Link service is designed for more convenient regional travel by providing a streamlined route with limited stops along the Highway 65 and Interstate 80 corridors. The service offers commuters, students, seniors and other travelers a new option for getting around the area while spending less time navigating traffic. Roseville Transitโs Rapid Link service is a partnership with the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, Placer County Transit, Yuba-Sutter Transit, Sacramento Regional Transit and the City of Lincoln.
Rapid Link serves key destinations throughout the corridors, including in the City of Lincoln, Westfield Galleria at Roseville, Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Kaiser Roseville Medical Center, and the Watt/I-80 light rail station.
โThese route adjustments will help our county riders take advantage of this new service and get where theyโre going faster,โ said Placer County Transit Manager Jaime Wright. โRapid Link is an important addition to our regional transit hub as we work to make it easier for residents to reach jobs, get health care, go shopping and get around.โ

For a limited time, Rapid Link will offer free fares, providing an opportunity for new and existing transit riders to try the express service.
Passengers are encouraged to check updated Route 20 and Route 70 schedules and plan their trips ahead of time before traveling on or after Oct. 1.
