All mandatory evacuation orders and road closures have been lifted as of 6:00 P.M. Firefighters made good progress today increasing the containment line and have begun working on pockets of unburned fuel within the fire perimeter. Firefighters will continue to work on improving the fire line. Temperatures will remain warm through the evening with possible gusty southwest winds.

Humidity is expected to be in the low 20’s through the night. Structures are threatened. Additional resources have been ordered and are en route. A water tender rollover accident occurred on Geysers Rd this afternoon while responding to the incident. No injuries were reported.

Latest CAL FIRE estimate puts the fire at 1,500 acres, now 10% contained.

The American Red Cross has opened an evacuation center, located at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Healdsburg, 1402 University St. Healdsburg. The center opened at 5:00 PM and will provide water, food and shelter if necessary.

Residents in the surrounding Geysers area are urged to stay vigilant, and prepare for possible evacuation. It is recommended that all residents prioritize their personal safety, and do not wait for an evacuation notification if they feel their safety is at risk.

The public is advised to avoid the area in order to facilitate emergency response and evacuations.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has ordered a mandatory evacuation for Geysers Rd on the Cloverdale side from Pine Mountain Rd to Geysers Resort Rd due to the fire in the Geysers area.

The Sonoma County Sheriff has ordered a mandatory evacuation for Geysers Rd on the Cloverdale side from Pine Mountain Rd to Geysers Resort Rd.

There is also an evacuation warning for the area of Geysers Rd on the Geyserville side from Geysers Resort Rd to Anderson Ranch Rd, Ridge Oaks Rd and Monkey Rock Rd and Pocket Ranch Rd.

The fire is moving at a moderate rate of spread and is in steep, challenging terrain with difficult access. Fuels are heavy, with areas of grass and pockets of oak woodland. The vegetation is extremely dry due to the past five years of drought conditions. Temperatures are in the high 90’s with low relative humidity. Structures are currently threatened. Additional resources have been ordered and are en route.

Per CAL FIRE: Approximately 36 homes off Geysers Rd are evacuated due to the 300 acre #SawmillFire east of Cloverdale in Sonoma County.

The fire is burning in a northerly direction.

Mandatory evacuations for Geyserville Road in Cloverdale. The fire is burning in heavy timber and brush in very steep terrain. Red Flag Warning is in effect.

U.S. Forest Service providing firefighting aircraft, local agencies and CAL FIRE resources on scene.

The fire is burning at a moderate rate of spread. Two large air tankers on order and numerous out of the area resources en route. Grass Valley Air Attack Base is sending Tanker 89 to the incident and one helicopter.
