Minimal fire activity was observed overnight on the Hog Fire. Although the weather was favorable for firefighters overnight, warm temperatures and low relative humidities may influence fire activity within the fire’s control lines.
Large amounts of logging slash and heavy dead fuels continue to burn and smolder well within the perimeter. Both SR-36 and SR- 44 are now open for through traffic, however, flames and smoke from the fire’s interior may be visible as you travel.
All evacuation orders have been lifted, as residents are allowed to return to their homes, please drive carefully as emergency personnel are still working throughout the fire area. The demobilization of resources is currently underway. Resources are anticipated to be released based on the current fire and weather situation. These measures ensure that the number and type of resources assigned to the incident match the current operational needs.

Firefighters continued strengthening control lines overnight on the Hog Fire. Large amounts of logging slash and heavy fuels continue to burn and smolder well within the perimeter. Containment continues to increase on the Hog Fire. Firefighters are working aggressively to establish and improve control lines. Warm and breezy conditions will be moving into the region and may increase the risk of fire activity. There was minimal fire activity overnight on the Hog Fire. The favorable weather conditions helped firefighters reinforce and hold containment lines. A low pressure system will bring higher and dryer temperatures to the fire area today, this may increase the chance of dry lightning. A natural-source water supply has been established that does not affect the surrounding communities. Fire Suppression Repair Teams continue to assess the affected areas and refine their repair plans. Damage inspection is complete and the number of destroyed and damaged homes is final. Warm weather and dry conditions may increase the risk of fire activity from smoldering areas. Potential still exists for spots to become established outside of the control lines. Damage assessment teams continue to evaluate the affected area. Evacuation Orders:
• West of Junction SR- 36 and SR-44
• East of Goumaz Road and Fredonyer Summit
• This includes all roadways and trails accessed by SR-36 and SR-44
• All trails along SR-36 will remain closed. This includes Bizz Johnson Trail
Evacuation Warnings:
• Community of Lake Forest Estates, both north and south sides of highway 36 from A-1 to Willard Creek Road
• Junction SR- 36 and SR- 44 east to the A-1 SR-36 junction, this encompasses River Bench, Britt Lane, Thumper Hill Road and Ridge Top Road
• West of Brake check area on SR- 36, to the junction of SR-36 and SR- 44, this includes reseidents served by Phil Dow Road
Road Closures:
• Highway 36 from the Highway 44 and 36 juncture to Westwood.
• County Road A-1 is closed just north of the water tanks.

Potential still exists for sports to become established outside of the control lines. Damage Assessment teams continue assess the affected areas. As some residents are allowed to return to their homes, please drive carefully as emergency vehicles are still working throughout the fire area.
Evacuation Warnings:
- Community of Lake Forest Estates, both North and South side of the highway 36 from A-1 to Willard Creek Road.
- Junction SR-36 and SR-44 east to the A-1 SR-36 junction, the encompasses River Bench, Britt Lane, Thumper Hill Road, and Ridge Top Road.
- West of Brake Check Area on SR-36, to the junction of SR-36 and SR-44 this includes residents served by Phil Dow Road.
Be aware that changing conditions in fire activity may cause this area to return to an Evacuation Order at any time. Be aware that traffic interruptions may exist due to fire and utilities equipment working in the area.

The fire remained active throughout the night and still remains approximately 5 miles from Susanville. Firefighters continue to take suppressive action and construct containment lines.
A Red Flag warning has beem extended through the day until this evening, with anticipated heavy winds and dry lightening in the area of the fire.
An essential fiber optic cable was damaged by the fire early Monday July 20th and has hampered communication and connectivity for Susanville, CAL FIRE Headquarters and the Incident Command Base.
Technicians are underway to restore internet and cellular service to the community.

Fire acreage has decreased due to better mapping of the incident. Structures remain threatened and Evacuation Orders remain in place. Highway 44 is closed east of Susanville. Roop Mountain Communication Site, private and Federal timberlands are also threatened. Cal Fire Incident Management Team 3 (See) is in command.

Mandatory evacuations for the Hog Fire including all of Lake Forest Estates, Riverbench Road, Britt Lane, Thumper Hill Road, and Ridgetop Road. Also, north and south of HIghway 36 from A-1 to Willard Creek Road and an evacuation center has been established at Lassen Community College
As of this time, no structures have been damaged or destroyed.
County Road A1 is closed from Gallatin Road to Highway 36. Highway 44 is closed from A21 to Hwy 36. An evacuation center has been established at Lassen Community College (530) 250-9088.
