Firefighters worked throughout the day to mop up hot spots and improve containment lines, adding to the overall containment of this fire. Firefighters will continue monitoring and patrolling today to ensure the fire remains within its established perimeter.

Forward progress has been stopped. The fire is currently holding at 960 acres and is 0% contained. Approximately 400 Firefighters will remain on scene through the night, continuing to provide structure protection and knock down hot spots. There are no reported structures damaged or destroyed.

This incident is now wholly within the jurisdiction of Ventura County Fire and residents in the area of Hidden Hills are advised to follow their safety and evacuation messages.

The Kenneth Fire is burning to the south, per LAPD. LAFD is issuing a Mandatory Evacuation Order for Vanowen south to Burbank Blvd. County Lane Road east to E Valley Circle Blvd. This is an immediate evacuation order for all residents within this area.
