Rancho Monserate Country Club will remain closed to everyone except residents with identification.

Residents may return to their homes now that the mandatory evacuation order has been lifted. This includes Hwy 76 and all the affected areas of the fire.

CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 1 is in unified command with Vista Fire Department, North County Fire Protection District and the San Diego County Sheriff Department. Residents may return to their homes now that the mandatory evacuation order has been lifted. This includes Hwy 76 and all the affected areas of the fire.

Firefighters continue to harden and increase containment lines. Red Flag Warnings are still in effect until 8PM tonight, but firefighters will continue to patrol the fire’s area for any hot spots throughout the evening.

CAL FIRE announced that residents who live in portions of North County affected by the Lilac Fire can return home, as of 5 p.m. Friday.

An evacuation order covering parts of Vista, Fallbrook and Oceanside was downgraded to an evacuation warning, meaning that residents can return home in the below listed areas. Residents need to stay on high alert through the weekend as weather conditions can quickly shift.

West of Wilshire Rd. to North River Road.
South of North River Road from Wilshire to Holly Lane.
South of Holly Lane from North River Road to Mission Rd.
South of Little Gopher Canyon Road to Sagewood Road.
South of Dentro De Lomas at Nors Ranch Road.
Via Maria Elena South of Camino Del Rey.
Camino Del Rey South of Bobritt Lane.
Aquaduct Road South of Via Ulner Way.
North of Tumbleweed Lane between Sleeping Indian Road and Olive Hill Road.

No Divert on aircraft for life safety

CAL FIRE IMT-1 (Gouvea) has been ordered

People w/ livestock are encouraged to evacuate due to #LilacFire. @DMFairgrounds are opening up to accept the animals. Anyone needing assistance with evacuations is asked to call DAS at 619-236-2341.

The fire is growing at a dangerous rate of spread with 1,000 structures threatened. Five structures have been destroyed and an unknown amount have been damaged. Hwy 76 is closed in both directions.

Cal Fire San Diego: We are exercising our agreement with the military to utilize their helicopters for firefighting operations. Also, we are exercising our agreement with San Diego Fire-Rescue to utilize their helicopter for night flying operations.

A temporary evacuation point has been set up at the Carlsbad Forum.

New evacuation orders are in effect: South of Camino Del Rey North of Gopher Canyon Rd. East of E. Vista Way West of I-15 Freeway

Lilac Fire evacuees can go to the East Valley Community Center (2245 E. Valley Parkway, Escondido). We are working with @sdhumane to be able to care for any pets evacuated with their families
