Minimal fire behavior reported. Crews worked overnight to strengthen containment lines and identify potential spot fires outside the main fire. Today, firefighters will continue working toward full suppression while mitigating any hazards to the public.

There was minimal fire activity within the Apache Fire area today. Crews spent the day strengthening containment lines and mitigating hot spots. Hazard trees were identified and fallen. Firefighters are working from the fire’s edge toward the interior, making sure there is no threat of spot fires outside the main fire. Damage inspection teams finished inspecting each residence within and adjacent to the fire perimeter.
All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office. All roads are open. Please use caution when driving in the area as fire crews continue working on and around roadways.

Minimal fire activity reported. Crews continue with direct line construction around the perimeter and reinforce existing control lines. DINS inspection has begun.

June 24, 2024 at 7:27 PM Vegetation fire in the Palermo area, aircraft leaving the Sunset Blvd fire diverting to the new incident. This will be the Apache incident, on Ruths Ct off Apache Hill Rd in Butte County.
