Firefighters made good progress overnight and increased containment to 40%. They will continue to reinforce existing lines and extinguish hot spots within the perimeter.

Several hot spots inside the perimeter complicate suppression. Higher temperatures could increase fire activity and pose a threat to control lines. Heavy mop up required within DIV X. Firefighters will work to strengthen control lines around structures and around the fire perimeter extinguishing hot spots. Critically low fuel moistures contribute to increased fire risk in dry grass, brush and timber.
