Retired Social Worker
I spent most of my professional life working with special education students in the classroom, group homes and as a social worker with Alta Regional Center. I am an ardent supporter of public education and of making meaningful opportunities for all students.
All young people deserve a high quality education that is both enjoyable and prepares them for the ever challenging world and job market. I will do everything possible as a school board member to support student learning and accomplishment. Public education is the great equalizer of opportunity and is critical to a well functioning democracy.
My mother was a teacher who instilled in me a deep respect for education, teachers as well as administrators who keep things running smoothly. As a board member, I will work to create a positive, dynamic workplace and learning space.
