I am Paul Purchard, and along with my wife and son have lived in Truckee since 2000. Over the course of my career, I have spent 20 years in the food service industry, most notably as VP of production for a high-volume commercial bakery in S. California. During that time, I also volunteered as a reserve deputy sheriff with Los Angeles County. Eventually, I became a full time LA County Sheriff’s Deputy with the department. In March of 2000, my wife and I made the decision to leave the city, and set our sights on Truckee, which has been our home ever since. Here I became a real estate broker for the past 20 years and retired during covid to be a stay-at-home dad for my son who is now 14. Since coming to Truckee, I have engaged in multiple areas of service to our community including volunteering with Sierra Senior Services, delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors in the Truckee Tahoe area. I worked with the Red Cross for 7 years, manning shelters and performing maintenance duties where needed.
My many years of management experience and my steadfast appreciation of this area we live in has drawn me to TSD’s mission of protecting the public health and the environment. I have always been consistently serving the community I’ve lived in, and I wish to earn your vote to serve on the Truckee Sanitary District Board of Directors.
