Nevada City, CA – Sierra Stages and Sierra Theatre Company are excited to bring the original musical Goldilocks and the Three Polar Bears to life for one night only—Wednesday, July 23 at  the historic Nevada Theatre.

This lighthearted reimagining of the beloved fairy tale puts music to the mayhem, with an environmental twist! The three polar bears igloos have melted (thanks a lot, climate change) and they are out in the cold. Who can lend a paw and save the day? Surely not that bratty, yellow-haired Goldilocks. She has a bad habit of thinking only of herself.

With the help of unlikely friends—and an amazing array of original songs ranging from folk guitar to show tunes—maybe there is hope after all!

Originally performed in 2011 at the New York Fringe Festival, Goldilocks and the Three Bears was created by Nevada City’s very own Sky Seals and Jerrod Bogard. “We had a ton of fun putting the show up the first time, but, unfortunately, it didn’t solve the global warming crisis,” jokes Seals. “So, we’re back! It’s the kind of show that works for kids and adults alike—so hopefully we’ll get a great crowd in to cheer the polar bears on.”
