August 24, 2020 – For the 24-hour period ending 6:00 Monday, BLM LC detected 8 strikes within the Tahoe National Forest – 7 for Truckee Ranger District, 1 for Sierraville Ranger District. First active strike for the TNF Monday morning 00:50 am, last active strike Monday morning 1:10 am.
Throughout the state, 545 strikes were recorded within California. 104 strikes were detected within the National Forests.
A Red Flag Warning remains in effect until late this evening due to the potential for dry thunderstorms across NorCal.
