From telemedicine and care triaging to partnerships with regional providers, “Healthcare in Nevada County” will be the focus of the February 17h American Association of University Women (AAUW) meeting program.  Guest speaker Sandra Barrington, Executive Director of the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH) Foundation, will discuss the strengths and challenges in Nevada County health delivery, including newer approaches and the hospital’s Integrative Medicine practice.  According to Barrington, Integrative Medicine uses an evidence-based approach to treat the whole person – mind, body and soul.  It combines conventional approaches with complementary therapies to achieve optimal health and healing.
