NEVADA CITY, CA — Armando Salud-Ambriz today officially announced his campaign for Nevada County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, pledging continued leadership rooted in experience, integrity and community service.
Salud-Ambriz has served as the appointed Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters since October 2025, following selection by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors after a nationwide search. In that role, he has overseen election administration, recordkeeping and vital public services with a focus on transparency and accuracy.
โI stepped into this office determined to serve every resident of Nevada County fairly and professionally,โ Salud-Ambriz said. โNow Iโm asking voters to empower me to continue that work – to build on the progress weโve made and ensure the publicโs trust in our elections and records is never taken for granted.โ
Before his appointment, Salud-Ambriz served for eight years in Yolo Countyโs Elections Office, including as Deputy of Elections and Election Manager, bringing deep professional expertise to Nevada Countyโs election operations. His career includes advancing voter access, implementing secure procedures and leading complex logistics for a full range of election activities.
In addition to his election administration experience, Salud-Ambriz has demonstrated broad community leadership across his career, reflecting his commitment to civic engagement and public service.

ABOUT ARMANDO:ย Armando Salud-Ambriz was appointed by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors to fill the vacant Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters position in October. He has been working in election administration for the past 16 years, where he’s defined an approach that isย simple – no drama, no politics, just service and results.
Armando was raised in the orchards of Colusa County, received his Bachelor Degree at Sacramento State and his Masters in Public Administration at McGeorge School of Law. He lives in Grass Valley, where he spends his free time exploring the natural beauty of Nevada County.ย
