NEVADA CITY, Calif. March 8, 2024 – The Odd Fellows Oustomah Lodge of Nevada City is presenting their March art exhibit in the Seven Stars Gallery.
This month’s show is “The Art of the Burn”, with local artists presenting their photography, paintings and sculpture inspired by the annual Burning Man Festival in Northern Nevada. Featuring the art of Craig Rohrsen, Douglas Hooper, Greg Holmes, Jeff Litton, Ellen Davis, Lorrie Bell, Mike Shea, Angel Richards, Martin Powell and Faye Schoolcraft.
Also showing this month, presented by the Seven Stars Youth Arts Program, is the art of Bird Cameron. Bird is a 16-year-old artist from Nevada City, currently attending Bitney Prep High School. He has studied under ceramicist Claudia Jeffers of ASiF Studios, and hopes to continue to work with ceramics as a medium. His main form of art is mixed media painting, mainly using oil and acrylic paint. He combines semi-realism with abstract, as well as elements of pop art.
This exhibit will be up during the month of March. There will be an artists’ reception on Saturday, March 9 from 6-8 and all are welcome.
