The Center for the Arts proudly hosted its second student matinee performance Buckets N Boards: The Musical Comedy Percussion Show yesterday in the Marisa Funk Theater.

Students from across Nevada County filled the theater, representing a wide range of local schools, including Clear Creek, Chicago Park, Scotten, Bell Hill Academy, Lyman Gilmore, Arete, and Ready Springs.
They experienced the brilliant, hilarious, and high-energy performance delivered by world-renowned entertainers Gareth Sever and Matt Levingston, whose mix of explosive percussion, spectacular tap dancing, beatboxing, clever songs, and inventive comedy has earned them international acclaim. Buckets N Boards has toured globally for more than a decade, headlined for 15 seasons in Branson, Missouri, performed with the Kansas City Symphony, and is one of the top-requested headline acts for Disney Cruise Lines.

Following the performance, students participated in an engaging post-show Q&A with the artists, adding an interactive and educational element to their experience.
โWe were thrilled to welcome so many students from so many different schools today,โ said Athena Aronow, Arts & Education Program Manager at The Center. โThe City of Grass Valleyโs sponsorship made this second matinee possible and allowed even more young people to enjoy an inspiring, energetic, and uplifting performance.โ

The event marked another milestone of The Centerโs commitment to arts education and family-friendly programming for Nevada County students.
This production was made possible by The City of Grass Valley and The Center for the Artโs generous community partners.
