February 25, 2024 – Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra (CATS) and the community celebrated the 10th Chinese Lunar New Year Parade in Nevada City this Sunday.
The parade’s Grand Marshal was Eliza Tudor, Executive Director of the Nevada County Arts Council. Parade units included Chinese Lion Dancers and a 72’ Dragon from Eastern Ways Martial Arts of Sacramento; Grass Valley Taiko drummers; students from Bell Hill Academy; “Mulan;” Miss Nevada City Chinatown – Aneka Torgrimson; Falun Dafa; and other community entries.
