City of Grass Valley residents are invited to drop off one pickup truck of green waste, e- waste and bulky items free of charge at Mautino Park on Saturday, May 18th from 9 am- 2 pm. City residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to reduce fire risk and create defensible space around their home. The event is restricted to only City of Grass Valley residents and residency will be verified by checking IDโ€™s.

Acceptable green waste includes residential tree and plant trimmings, weeds, leaves, pine needles and branches. Restricted items include commercial green waste, Scotch broom, poison oak, Himalayan blackberry, tree stumps, root balls and items over 4 feet long or with a diameter greater than 1 foot.

E-waste items are electronic items that plug in. Bring your old cell phones, computer monitors, laptops, televisions, DVD players and more.

Bulky items include appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ovens and hot water heaters. Other acceptable items include upholstered furniture and mattresses.

Hazardous waste and tires will not be accepted during this event. Mautino Park is located at 10609 Alta Street in Grass Valley.
