Nevada City, Calif. — The Mayor and Nevada City Council invite community members to a special meet and greet with newly appointed City Manager Carrie Wright on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Nevada City Hall.

The informal gathering will take place immediately prior to the regularly scheduled City Council meeting and offers residents an opportunity to introduce themselves, ask questions, and welcome Wright as she begins her service to the community.

Wright officially began her role as Nevada City’s City Manager on March 2. She brings experience as a small business owner and public-sector leader, having worked in both state and local government, and is known for her collaborative approach to leadership with a background in strategic planning, community engagement, and organizational leadership.

The meet and greet is intended to provide a relaxed setting for residents, business owners, and community partners to connect with Wright and share perspectives about the community.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to meet Carrie and begin building the working relationships that are so important in a community like Nevada City,” said Mayor Adam Kline.  “Our City thrives when residents participate in civic life, and we encourage everyone to stop by, say hello, and welcome our new City Manager.”

Light refreshments will be provided.

Following the meet and greet, the regular City Council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Community members are welcome to attend the Council meeting as well.
