Each year on February 11 (2/11), America comes together to celebrate 211 Day — a day dedicated to raising awareness about the 211 service and its vital role in supporting communities across all 50 states.

211 is a free and confidential information and referral service that connects more than 93 percent of our nation to essential health and human services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is an integral part of the community safety net and can be easily accessed online or over the phone.
Locally, 211 Connecting Point is a resource and information hub that connects people with community programs and services through a searchable web page and 24/7 local call center. Our call center has served Nevada County since 2011, adding Placer County and the entire Tahoe-Truckee area in 2020.
We here at Connecting Point want to say thank you for continuing to trust and turn to the 211 Call Center, our Resource Specialists, and all of the Connecting Point staff during winter storms, local wildfires, personal life- changing events and anytime you need to be connected to community resources, information, and a friendly voice on the other end of the line.
Residents can access 211 by calling 2-1-1 (or 1-833-DIAL211); by texting their zip code to 898211 (your text planʼs rates will apply); or visiting 211ConnectingPoint.org to access the online searchable database and email or chat with specialists.
