June 1, 2018 – I will represent a new “ear” on the city council – an ear dedicated to listening to what you, the residents of Nevada City, have to say about your lives and needs here. I’ve knocked on over half the doors in our city in the last few months and find that a lot of us have the same concerns – local neighborhood issues like sidewalks, traffic, parking, fire risks (especially along Deer Creek), water bills, communication to and from City Hall. The nuts and bolts of what makes Nevada City a city.
We’re a small city with a small budget – we can’t afford mistakes, but we can’t be afraid of new things either. We live in the 21st century.
For example, we need to preserve our historical district, but we also need new sidewalks and trails, better access to City services and information on-line, and fast, reliable internet in all of our neighborhoods.
I will be a new voice for all of us who live and work here. I would appreciate your vote.
