GRASS VALLEY, CA – The Food Bank of Nevada County is thrilled to announce Brett Bentley as its new Executive Director. With a deep commitment to community well-being and equity, Brett steps into the role ready to lead with clarity, compassion, and collaboration.

Her appointment follows a competitive and inspiring search process. The Board of Directors’ Hiring Committee was moved by the caliber of applicants and the passion shown by every finalist. Brett Bentley was selected for her thoughtful leadership, clear vision, and deep commitment to the Food Bank’s mission.

“I’m honored to continue serving as Executive Director of the Food Bank of Nevada County,” said Bentley. “During my time as Interim Director, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our dedicated team, volunteers, and community partners. Nevada County holds a special place in my heart, and I’m excited to deepen those relationships as we work together to address food insecurity. By strengthening our connections, we can ensure that individuals and families across our community have reliable access to the support they need.”

Board Chair Douglass Fleming shared: “We’re beyond excited to welcome Brett Bentley officially as our permanent Executive Director. Her energy, values, and strategic mindset will help us grow even stronger in service to Nevada County.”
