Truckee, CA — January 31, 2026 — Forest Charter School proudly announces that four extraordinary current and former student-athletes will represent their countries on the world’s biggest sporting stage: the 2026 Olympic Games. All four athletes will travel to Milan-Cortina, Italy this February to compete. Representing Team USA are Bryce Bennett, Keely Cashman, and Abby Winterberger. Representing her home country of Australia is Amelie Haskell.
Bryce Bennett — Team USA, Alpine Skiing — 2018 & 2022 Olympian / 2026 Competitor
Bryce Bennett, a two-time U.S. Olympian in alpine skiing (2018 & 2022), continues to compete on the world stage as part of the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team. A standout in speed events, especially downhill, Bryce has secured multiple World Cup victories and podiums and established himself as one of America’s leading downhill ski racers. Born and raised in the Tahoe region, Bryce’s commitment to the sport continues as he balances elite performance with family life. Bryce graduated from Forest Charter in 2010. Go Bryce!
Keely Cashman — Team USA, Alpine Skiing — 2022 Olympian & 2026 Competitor
Keely Cashman represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics, competing in multiple alpine events including downhill and super-G, where she finished as the top American female downhill skier. A versatile athlete with solid results on the World Cup circuit — including top 10 performances — Keely has battled back from injury and will be joining the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team after a breakout season highlighted by career-best placements. Keely attended Forest Charter from 2010 – 2014. Go Keely!
Amelie Haskell — Team Australia, Snowboard Halfpipe — 2026 Competitor
Amelie Haskell will represent her home country of Australia in snowboard halfpipe at the 2026 Winter Olympics. A rising star in her discipline, Amelie has competed internationally, including
youth Olympic and World Cup events, earning notable results and establishing herself as one of Australia’s promising young halfpipe competitors. Amelie graduated from Forest Charter early in December 2025. Go Amelie!
Abby Winterberger — Team USA, Freeski Halfpipe — 2026 Competitor
Abby Winterberger, age 15, has earned a spot on Team USA’s freeski halfpipe team for the 2026 Winter Olympics, becoming the youngest member of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard roster. She achieved this remarkable milestone by earning multiple top-10 finishes on the international circuit this season and qualifying through competitive results. Abby also claimed the U.S. national championship in her discipline. Abby is a current 10th grader at Forest Charter. Go Abby!
